Here is my inspiration card for the Crafty Bloggers Network this week, the digital stamp is by our Sponsor Rick St Dennis. The card itself is for a swap over at Swap Bot which called for a spring skinny card, this is a 3″ by 5″ card decorated how you like to fit in with a spring theme.
It has been a while since I blogged one of my Swap Bot swaps so I thought I would share this Mandala I have created for December’s swap. I found another challenge blog for Zentangle called The Bright Owl Zendala Dare. The mandala template is Number 32 and I had great fun with it, I used some linnen effect paper to add a little interest and texture and I am really pleased with how it turned out.
This week has been one of those hectic weeks where I seem to be running around everywhere and not seeming to get very much done! I did however post a parcel of 10 card samples off on Wednesday (more about those next week ;). I heard that my Piano Keys ATC that I made for a swap has arrived safely so here it is:
Here is the 3rd ATC by Grant for his swap. The image is a free stamp from the Docrafts magazine this month called Boofle which Grant decided to colour with the new paints I had bought him. The sticker came from Hobbycraft – its one of those scratch off ones that reveals the rainbow colours underneath the black. He then finished the whole thing off with some Papermania stars in the corners.
I had never heard of these before I joined Swap Bot, they are quite fun to do as they give you a little bit more room than an ATC as they are 3″ x 5″
I made mine using the new Memory Box Die I bought recently and some Echo Park paper I had left over from another project.
Another series of artist trading cards over at Swap Bot is one of flowers, this is a card I have just sent off:
The poppies were coloured with copic ciao and then cut out and decoupaged. The paper came from a free paper pack I got with a magazine.
March 8 is International Women’s Day, and in many countries it is customary to exchange yellow flowers on that date. So, for this swap, we have to send each of our 3 partners a postcard which somehow incorporates a yellow flower.
I am really pleased with the way my postcard turned out, I have used a digi stamp from Just Inklined and coloured it with copics and it is on a digi background so that it is flat. (apologies for the slightly blurred photo – it’s a bit dull here today)
