First of all can I say welcome to all the people who have come to my blog from the SET craft Facebook page, its great to have you here 🙂
Today I have a card for you that shows you can use all those images from the CDs you have tucked away along with your brand new dies. I printed out a picture from one of my Humphries Corner CDs and used the Grace frame die to cut out the image. I used background paper and sentiments also printed from the CD to make up the card too. The Brighter Days die made a great frame for the central image, backed with some of the same backing paper. I finished off by cutting the “new baby” sentiment to fit onto the Pierced Flag die and placed stick on pearls in the corner.
Today I have something for you that I havent done in quite some time, I have made a layout of my boys on new years eve. It was quite special this year as the boys stayed up to see in the new year with us for the first time.
I made the layout using Bo Bunny’s Block Party collection.
Today I am sharing with you this cute teacher gift for Phillip’s P6 teacher who he said has been the “best teacher ever”. I cut the file for the box on my silhouette along with the pinwheels and the name for the chocolate bar.
I got the idea for it from Deann’s video class over at Ginas Designs
I was asked to make a birthday card for a little chap who’s birthday is on Halloween. Our sponsor over at the Crafty Bloggers Network this month is Stitchy Bear digital stamps and I found this really cool little guy to work with:
Cya there stamp by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps coloured with Spectrum Noir pencilsPatterned paper

Sizzix dies and stamps
As a few of you may know, I like to watch shows on Create and Craft TV and last week was no exception. On Saturday, the lovely talented Kathryn Sturrock was doing a show with clay, I am so glad I recorded it because she made the cutest frog. I decided that I would have a go at recreating it and here is the result:
I realise he is a bit old looking as the clay had dried out a little bit but I think he is quite cute and not bad for a first attempt. I cant wait to get the cloud clay I ordered so I can see what the difference is between that and the Martha Stewart clay that I used here.
If you get the chance to see Kathryn demo then do watch as she explains things really well and does a really good job.
I didn’t really spend Christmas with Gina’s Designs as the title suggests lol, although thanks to the wonders of technology Gina and I did spend Christmas morning together 🙂
I have a layout for you today made using the new String Alongs in the store, embossed in separate areas using a versamark pen. It seems like forever since I did a physical scrapbook layout instead of a digital one and I really enjoyed making it!
Our boys decided to get us up at 5.15 am on Christmas Day morning, hence the title for the layout, I had the boys write onto some tags with an embossing pen which I then embossed with clear powder along with my own tag as well. When I put the layout together I created pockets for the tags by gluing down only tiny bits of the strip of paper that the tags sit behind, thus allowing the viewer to take out the tags a read the reverse (which explains the title!)
Ginas Designs String Alongs – Moon and stars
WOW embossing powder – red Glitz and clear
Papermania patterned papers
Versamark embossing pen and red embossing pen
Today is the last day to enter the challenge over at Crafty Bloggers Network to win 3 digi sets from the Imagine That store. Kris has some great kits and we were lucky enough to work with the Bees Knees Kit. Here is the card I made for this week:
The Uniko Studio had a freebie a couple of weeks ago (super Free Saturday) and it has taken me this long to use it! I have also had this and a few other Sarah Kay stamps for several weeks as well so I decided that the 2 should work very well together.
The Sarah Kay Image (Susie Ponders) is coloured with Copics (Y21, and Y26 for the dress, R32 R35 and R37 for the bows and boots E50 and E00 for the skin and E31, E33 and E37 for the hair)
Spelbinders Labels 2
Ribbon from stash (one of those hanging bits you get in your clothes)
Since having joined the Crafty Bloggers Network D T I have seen some really awesome cards and also found some new stamp companies that I didnt know about, one of these is The Paper Shelter and boy do they have some super cute stamps, you really need to check them out.
The stamp I have used on my card is called 100% cute and isnt she just!
I coloured the image with Copics and then cut her out to place on an oval of paper from a paper pad I had in my stash called Sweet Wishes (a freebie from Papercraft Inspirations magazine some time ago). The sentiment is from a pepermania pack of domed stickersand the flowers are Prima ones with Anita’s gems in the middle (shhhh dont tell her LOL)
