Time for a new challenge over at the Crafty Bloggers Network and this month we are being sponsored by Mulberry Crafts who do some great paper flowers and embellishments at great prices.
This month’s challenge is Say it with Flowers and for my first project I decided to make an ATC. I made the background using Lace, glitter and double sided tape.
Chipboard shapes from Gina’s Designs coloured with Luster Rub ons
Flowers from Mulberry Crafts
Background made using the glitter lace resist technique (plenty of videos on You Tube)
Celtic is the he theme for this months ATC swap in a group I belong to, I thought I was going to have a bit of bother with that until I remembered this beautiful stamp I have had for some time. She is called Celtic Angel and she is from Crafts and Me. I resized her to ATC size (3.5 inches by 2.5 inches) and printed her onto some white card then coloured her with copics. I added some stickles to her wings and then edged the card with copics. I am rather pleased with the results.
It has been a while since I posted an ATC so I thought I would share this one with you all, It is for an owl ATC swap over at Swap Bot.
I used a piece of paper someone had sent me as the background and the owl was a free digi stamp but sadly I can’t remember where he came from. I used the tangle patterns Gothic and Golven
This week over at ATCs and cards with Attitude I chose the cute elephant from our sponsor for my atc which I coloured with my copics and then cut out to place on this bacground paper that someone had sent me. I finished it off with a papermania flower, button and thread. The quote was printed on my PC.
This week has been one of those hectic weeks where I seem to be running around everywhere and not seeming to get very much done! I did however post a parcel of 10 card samples off on Wednesday (more about those next week ;). I heard that my Piano Keys ATC that I made for a swap has arrived safely so here it is:
Here is an artist trading card that I created for a Zentangle group that I belong to, I decided to add a bit of colour to this one using my Copic Ciao pens. I traced the hands from a Zentangle book that I have and then drew stings to make the stripes.
Keep an eye out for more greetings cards coming soon as I have an exciting announcement to make
Here is an ATC I created for the above series over at Swap Bot, the iris came from my Next Big Thing CD and I coloured it with Copics. I cut 2 nestie shapes and stuck the cut out Iris onto the first oval. The backing paper came from a digital collection designed by myself and friends.
Here is the 3rd ATC by Grant for his swap. The image is a free stamp from the Docrafts magazine this month called Boofle which Grant decided to colour with the new paints I had bought him. The sticker came from Hobbycraft – its one of those scratch off ones that reveals the rainbow colours underneath the black. He then finished the whole thing off with some Papermania stars in the corners.
Another swap over at Swap Bot, this time for an ATC featuring a book page somewhere on it. I just love this quote by Mark Twain and managed to find it on a tag. A while back someone sent me a couple of snippets from a French-English dictionary so that came in handy.
The theme for April ATC swap at Crafty Ideas by Kaz is cupcakes so I decided to go plain and simple with this one and use come chipboard shapes and paper that I got in a grab box a while back.
Both the items are from A Piece of Cake collection by Dovecraft, not really me but very useful for this sort of thing.
