It’s that time again over at the Gina’s Designs blog, yes its time for another freebie and this week it is a great butterfly tag printable.
Here is the simple tag I made with it:
I used one of my SplodgeAway masks with some tea dye distress ink to create the tulips in the background. The punch used for the band at the bottom is an E K Success punch (large scroll border). I used diamond sparkles on the butterfly to make it stand out a little.
Sometimes you just have to do it don’t you? I do love a good play around with distress inks and stains. I had a go at making some background papers with acrylic paint and stamps but they didn’t quite work how I expected, so I got out the stains and inks and ended up with the two rectangles of paper and the splodges here:
Digital Stamp from 2 Cute Ink coloured with copic pens
Broken China distress stain and ink pad
Wild Honey Distress stain and ink pad
Anita’s 3d glaze
Splodge Away mask – Dotty the Lot
Here we have the other stamp you could win over at the Crafty Bloggers Network this month, its called Summer Daze.
I made a post it note holder as this will be one of the classes we are offering at Cullen Crafts over the next couple of months (this one will be in the Beyond Cards class on March 5th)
here is a close up of the digi stamp
as you can see my lines bled a bit due to the paper I used but I think that adds to it.

I belong to a group that swaps postcards ATCs and Tags once a month and this month the theme for the postcards is What I did this summer… Well as some of you may know I spent some considerable time down at my Mum’s this year and during that time I took my boys up to London along with my Sister in Law and Nephew. We had a great time at the Science Museum and the London Live event at Hyde Park and finished it off with a photo outside the gates of Buckingham Palace (with the promise to go back next year to do the tour) So we were pretty much “The Tourists” hence my postcard

When a friend asked me to make a New Great Grandparents card I was a little worried to start with as I wasnt sure how I was going to achieve this. In comes Wellington from Do Crafts and Tim Holtz Distress Markers from my favourite craft shop. I’m in love! these markers are great, they blend so well, although I will say I did find one paper they didn’t move on at all (not sure of the make as it was an odd scrap I had) Out came the distress inks to make the stark white card match the image and voila.
I love the way the card turned out (so did my friend thankfully) I used Tumbled Glass and Broken China distress ink pads and markers.
