Time for a new challenge over at the Crafty Bloggers Network and this month we are being sponsored by Mulberry Crafts who do some great paper flowers and embellishments at great prices.
This month’s challenge is Say it with Flowers and for my first project I decided to make an ATC. I made the background using Lace, glitter and double sided tape.
Chipboard shapes from Gina’s Designs coloured with Luster Rub ons
Flowers from Mulberry Crafts
Background made using the glitter lace resist technique (plenty of videos on You Tube)
Celtic is the he theme for this months ATC swap in a group I belong to, I thought I was going to have a bit of bother with that until I remembered this beautiful stamp I have had for some time. She is called Celtic Angel and she is from Crafts and Me. I resized her to ATC size (3.5 inches by 2.5 inches) and printed her onto some white card then coloured her with copics. I added some stickles to her wings and then edged the card with copics. I am rather pleased with the results.
It has been a while since I posted an ATC so I thought I would share this one with you all, It is for an owl ATC swap over at Swap Bot.
I used a piece of paper someone had sent me as the background and the owl was a free digi stamp but sadly I can’t remember where he came from. I used the tangle patterns Gothic and Golven
This week over at ATCs and cards with Attitude I chose the cute elephant from our sponsor for my atc which I coloured with my copics and then cut out to place on this bacground paper that someone had sent me. I finished it off with a papermania flower, button and thread. The quote was printed on my PC.
Here is another ATC using the Urban Stamps from the Papermania Capsule Collection DVD, I just think they are great to work with as you can print them any size you like and then ink them up etc, you can change the colour of them in the program too so it looks like you have stamped them in different colour inks. The bird cage came from a bunch of die cuts that I got in my wonderful Christmas Cigar box that Chris sent me.
Here is my first attempt at an ATC using just 1 pattern (well almost) I drew a random string and filled it all in with variations of the Betweed tangle
This was a bit of an experiment but I am fairly pleased with the results. I took one of the urban stamps from the Papermania Capsule Collection DVD and inked it up using distress inks, then I put some Anita’s 3d Glaze on it and let it dry. Once dry I shaped the doll in order to crack the glaze a little. The background came from the same DVD I think (got so many bits of paper lying around its hard to say!) I put the ink on my craft mat a spritzed it with water & dragged the card through it.
This week has been one of those hectic weeks where I seem to be running around everywhere and not seeming to get very much done! I did however post a parcel of 10 card samples off on Wednesday (more about those next week ;). I heard that my Piano Keys ATC that I made for a swap has arrived safely so here it is:
Over at ATCs and Cards with Attitude this week we have an Anything Goes Theme. The cogs frame comes from our sponsor Delicious Doodles this week and I added a few real ones that I had got a while back. I then used a new Papermania Capsule Collection DVD to print off the Urban digital stamps. I cut the butterfly one with the Spelbinders Sprightly Sprockets die that my kids got me for Mothers Day. The ATC is egg-shaped because it is for a swap I am taking part in over at Swap Bot that calls for this shape 🙂
Here is an artist trading card that I created for a Zentangle group that I belong to, I decided to add a bit of colour to this one using my Copic Ciao pens. I traced the hands from a Zentangle book that I have and then drew stings to make the stripes.
Keep an eye out for more greetings cards coming soon as I have an exciting announcement to make
