I coloured this image in (from our sponsor over at Crafty Bloggers Network this month – only a few days left to enter the challenge) and was looking for an idea for a card to put it on, my best pal came up with the suggestion of a bucket shaped easel card. Well done Gina, this turned out exactly as I had imagined it which certainly doesn’t happen very often.

Sometimes you just have to do it don’t you? I do love a good play around with distress inks and stains. I had a go at making some background papers with acrylic paint and stamps but they didn’t quite work how I expected, so I got out the stains and inks and ended up with the two rectangles of paper and the splodges here:

Broken China distress stain and ink pad
Wild Honey Distress stain and ink pad

Here we have the other stamp you could win over at the Crafty Bloggers Network this month, its called Summer Daze.
I made a post it note holder as this will be one of the classes we are offering at Cullen Crafts over the next couple of months (this one will be in the Beyond Cards class on March 5th)
here is a close up of the digi stamp
as you can see my lines bled a bit due to the paper I used but I think that adds to it.

Wow, I can’t believe it is February already, where did January go? Of course a new month means a new challenge over at Crafty Bloggers network and this month you could win 2 wonderful digital stamps by the very talented Elisabeth Bell, here is what I did with one of them:
I printed the image and sprayed it with dyelusions paints before triple embossing and then cracking this once dry thus making a tile.
I made a frame and sprayed it with dyelusions sprays to match the tile. The flowers are made by stamping an Indigo Blu stamp (Bloomin Great) onto shrink plastic and colouring the underside with copics.
This fortnight over at the Friday Sketch Challenge we are sponsored by the Digi Garden and here is the sketch (number 36) for you:
And here is my take on it:
