I belong to a group on Facebook called SMASH*aholics and recently they had a secret sister swap which I took part in. If you have been following my blog you will know that my Dad died at the end of May and that I had to fly down south for his funeral, needless to say things have been a little tight around here as air fair and car hire don’t come cheap. Thanks to the fact that I do some work in a great craft shop I managed to get a parcel together for my SSS (Smash Secret Sister) and had pretty much forgotten all about the swap until this morning that is!
Imagine my surprise this morning when the Postie turned up on the doorstep with this box full of goodies:
Thank You SO much Robin for making my day (and week!) although that really doesn’t do it justice, the amount of goodies in there are wayyyy beyond what I expected, your generosity is quite overwhelming and I was in tears when I opened it.
Thank you again 🙂
My posts will be a little sparse for the next couple of weeks as myself and the boys are away back down to my Mums for our annual holiday.
Challenge number 3 over at Designed to Color is to use washi tape so I made a flower by covering a piece of white card with washi tape and then I punched it out. I used Pipi Petal digital stamp from Make It Crafty and coloured her with my copic pens to match the luscious Happy Days Paper from Do Crafts. The sentiment came from one of the Lucy Cromwell Stamp collections also from Do Crafts.
I just love this cute stamp from Forever Friends, it is a digi stamp from the Best of British DVD by DoCrafts and I coloured him with Copics, some of the papers were a freebie with Crafts Beautiful Magazine and the others came from the Portobello road DVD by DoCrafts. The card is made using a sketch from the current challenge over at Sunday Sketch and stamp although mine uses a little “artistic licence”
I saw this sketch at Stamptacular Sunday challenge and decided I had to use it for a card that I wish to enter for the Saturated Canary Challenge number 21 which is Bling it Out. The image was kindly given away by Krista on the challenge blog and I thought the bling looked cool in her hair 🙂
and here she is up close:

The challenge over at the craftymess challenge blog is to use the sun or moon in your creation so I had a think about it and came up with this:
The silver mirror paper is supposed to be rays of the sun although it is a little difficult to see as it didn’t turn out quite like I had planned, but then my cards rarely do.

Papermania Capsule Collection Paper
Darla and Vivienne Butterfly dies by Memory Box

Copic Marker Europe are celebrating their birthday for a whole month, they have a lot of surprises for you. They were also giving away an image for you to make a card with, you could choose from a wonderful image by Krista from Saturated Canary called Traveling Colors or another cute image from Sylvia Zet from Wee stamps. I chose the Traveling Colors image as I am a huge fan of Krista’s images and made this card with her:
Here is a close up of the image:
A perfect card for a like-minded crafty friend who loves colouring as much as me 😉 now all I have to do is find one LOL.
I am also going to enter this into the challenge of Anything Goes at Tammys Scrapin Corner this week.

They are having a DT call over at The Paper Shelter and I would SO love to be on their DT, these images are a dream to colour and they just look wonderful on a card, I think I need to get some of their little boys too 🙂
Anyway, here is my card for the call, I used “A little Bit Grumpy” (coloured with copics) for my card along with some diamond sparkles, DCWV papers and papermania shimmer dots.
and here is a close up of the little cutie:
Since having joined the Crafty Bloggers Network D T I have seen some really awesome cards and also found some new stamp companies that I didnt know about, one of these is The Paper Shelter and boy do they have some super cute stamps, you really need to check them out.
The stamp I have used on my card is called 100% cute and isnt she just!
I coloured the image with Copics and then cut her out to place on an oval of paper from a paper pad I had in my stash called Sweet Wishes (a freebie from Papercraft Inspirations magazine some time ago). The sentiment is from a pepermania pack of domed stickersand the flowers are Prima ones with Anita’s gems in the middle (shhhh dont tell her LOL)
I used this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday and am also entering it into The Paper Shelter challenge this week which is Flower Power.
Thanks for looking.
I got asked to become part of a design team over at the Crafty Bloggers Network and I jumped at the chance. The network is a facebook group designed to bring crafty bloggers together.
Here is my very first design team card for this months challenge which is “Anything Goes”
