Gothic Tag swap

Mini Album Scraps September Tag Swap - Gothic Tag

Here is another tag I have made for the September/October tag swap over at Mini Album Scraps. I am really enjoying “getting my hands dirty” so to speak making these tags and things. Look out for some charms coming soon 🙂

Mini Album Scraps September Tag Swap - Gothic Tag

Ingredients:

Brenda the Goth Fairy coloured with Copic ciao pens and the rose is glazed with Anita’s 3d glaze
Paper was printed from a digital scrapbook collection I created called A Little Romance
Lace came from Cullen Crafts.
Roses were made with Marianne design’s Creatables numer LR0162 English rose die and spritzed with Dazling Diamonds Glimmer mist

Finally some creativity I can post!

I seem to have been MIA for what seems like forever, I have been creating but most of it has been for people who read my blog so I haven’t been able to post the things I have made. I am seriously hoping that my Mum has lost the address to here as this little venture is for her, I got the idea for it from here. I apologise for the bad pictures, I was having trouble finding somewhere large enough to lay it out.

Warning – there are a few photos.

Papers from Breezy Design
Stamps from Tim Holtz, Prima and Dovecraft
Ranger Crackle Glaze
Spellbinders dies
Flowersoft
Doodlebug design mini brads
Martha Stewart border punch
Plaster board tape

Wedding card

I learned today that a friends daughter is getting married in 3 weeks time. The last time I saw her, she was just a little girl, now she is all grown up and off to start a new life with her husband! Where does the time go?
Anyway I took the sketch from Sketch Saturday, the theme of metalic, from One Stop Craft Challenge and Distressing from The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and I came up with this:

Ingredients:
Distress Inks to make the paper for the peel off
Peel Off
DCWV Wedding paper pack
Elzybells sentiment stamps
Kanban adhesive pearls

Finally a Box

Believe it or not I have made a few things over the past week or so, but sadly cant put them on my blog as the people who they are for would see them lol. Today I have made my 3rd thing using Sunday Sketch and Stamp’s very first sketch. In case you didn’t know they are having a birthday blog hop, you need to start on the challenge blog page here.

Here is a box I made to hold some sketch pieces in:

Ingredients
Bilmalarna stamp
Charm from Kut 4 U
DCWV papers
Card stock and ribbon from stash
Martha Stewart border punch

An Altered Notebook

Here is another of my embossing samples ready for my class at Cullen Crafts this month, I had a notebook with all our website stuff in and I thought it could do with a little decoration. I took the challenges from Alsoorts Challenge blog – no DP’s, The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge – How does your Garden Grow and Stamp, Scrap and Doodle challenge – Wings and came up with this:

For those who wish to know, the background paper was made by heat embossing stamped images and then going over the paper with sponged ink, once dry, wipe a cloth over the embossing and voila, you images show through 🙂
Ingredients:
Composition book
Laser cut butterfly (available in a pack of 4 from Kut 4 U)
Versamark Frost ink pad
Clear embossing powder
Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder
Ranger Glitter Glue
Pretty Color ink pads
Free Digital Stamp (sorry I cant remember where it came from) – coloured digitally
Martha Stewart Punch
Just Rite Stamps
Nestabilities circle & petite scallop circle dies
DCWV Adhesive ribbon

A very pink box

I am teaching a 3D class over at Cullen Crafts next month and decided to make a 4 way matchbox card as a sample. Stamp Something this week wanted pink somethings, so I set out to make it pink, which is not my normal colour but I am thinking it will be more so in future. Raise the bar had a weather theme, and Totaly Papercrafts had a Lets go Digital theme so I used this really cute digital stamp from Squiggle stamps. Last but not least Stamping for the weekend wanted ribbons and bows.

Ingredients

Brolly Girl stamp coloured with Copics
Papermania handmade papers
DCWV Spring glitter stack
Sizzix die
Nestabilities die
Ribbon from stash
Anitas 3d clear gloss
Papermania brads

Good Luck Card

An acquaintance of ours, who we do framing for, has opened up a new gallery in Cullen to sell her pictures and I wanted to make her a good luck card (didnt get chance last week as I was too busy cutting the mounts for her opening) I took the sketch from Truly Scrumptious this week and made what turned out to be a very “Springy” card – it didnt start out that way but I love the result.
Everybody Art Challenge and Crafty Cardmakers wanted a spring card, Papertake Weekly and Crafty Crations both had an Anything Goes theme.

Ingredients
Daffodil Peel off, coloured with Copics
DCWV Spring Paper Stack
Cardstock from stash
Butterfly Punch
Sentiment Peel Off

Sunday Sketch and (Squiggle) Stamp meets Pollycraft

I decided to go and get me some more Squiggle stamps as I just love their cute little girls, but this time I got digital ones (Ger’s not open on a Monday lol) The Sketch is from Sunday Sketch and Stamp, Squiggle Stamps Challenge this month is for a spring card and Pollycraft had a recipe of 4 papers, 3 embelishments, 2 ribbons or lace and 1 image.

Ingredients
Squiggle Stamps Daisy With Bunny
DCWV Paper stack
Ribbon and lace from stash

Flower Garden Ribbon Box

I needed something to store my loose ribbons in and have had this shoe box sitting around for a while now (never throw anything away, it may come in handy). I set about covering it with paper & making holes in the side (need to make a few more too). I was wondering what to decorate it with when my local craft group asked me to demonstrate some of the flowers I make. What better way of showing the finished product than making a “garden of flowers” on top of my box. I didnt take a picture of the “before” which I should have done so picture a shoe box here – you can all do that, right, lol. Here is the “after”:

This box fits into a number of challenges:
Creative Inspirations – Anything but a card
Raise the Bar – April Fool, a style you dont normally do
Paper Makeup Stamps – Be inspired by the sun (sun brings up the flowers 🙂 )
Allsorts Challenge blog – Alter or recycle something
The Character Cafe – Anything but a card
The Secret Crafter – Pink, Green & Flowers
Charisma Cardz – Spring has sprung
Cute Card Thursday – Dimensions

Ingredients
Shoe Box
DCWV Papers
Punches
Nestabilities
Colorbok clear rhinestones
Eyelet Outlet brads
Jewelery Seal Pearls
Sizzix dies

Caardvarks meets Creative Inspirations

Caardvarks Challenge this month has a great prize of a guest design spot for Just Rite Stamps so I decided to enter their challenge of “Lace” I used the sketch from Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge.

I couldnt find any white lace in my stash, so I used a French Lace Doily that my friend Gina sent me and made some purple lace using my Martha Stewart Doily lace punch. I used my Just Rite Stamps to create the middle and some new Cosmic Shimmer Embossing powder.

Ingredients
Just Rite Stamps
French Lace Doily
Martha Stewart border punch
Free flower stamp from Papercraft Inspirations Magazine
Joy Crafts Flower die
Cosmic Shimmer Lapis Pearl Lustre embossing powder
DCWV Paper
