No nothing as exciting or clever as getting a degree, sorry about that. I have been taking part in the Creative Chemistry classes as part of Tim Holtz’s Summer of Creative Chemistry and I am having a blast. Its great fun and I can thoroughly recommend it. I have finally graduated in the Chemistry 101 class.
Here are some of my technique tags
These are from Day 3 – Archival Ink Uses
These from Day 4 – Re-inkers & Maintenance
And these from Day 5 – Spray Inks & Stains
I used my silhouette to cut the “Sunshine” and the tag and then the word hello as I havent got any dies like the ones Tim used.
I used the Distress micro glaze over the top of my stamped images, what cool stuff that is!
I sent the tag to a friend of mine who hasnt been well recently and I’m glad to say she loved it 🙂
I recently discovered Tim Holtz’s Summer of Creative Chemistry ( a bit late to the party I know) and I have been having fun creating tags from the Creative Chemistry 101
I was particularly pleased with the brushless watercolour one in the middle, done with Lisa Hortons stamps.
Here is the one I did for the challenge for week 1 which was:
Your challenge is create a tag, card, or other project using FOUR OR MORE COLORS OF DISTRESS INK.
I used Barn Door, Broken China, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord on my tag background and I love how it came out.
It is new challenge time over at Crafty Bloggers Network and this month we are lucky to have Gina’s Designs as our sponsor. Head over to the challenge blog to add your entry to be in with a chance of winning an awesome package of Chipboard goodies and Lasercut doilies
Here is my DT project:
Chipboard Shapes from Gina’s Designs
7 Gypsies Stamps
Glimmer mist sprays
Neocolour II crayons
Clear Embossing Powder
Here is the simple tag I made with it:
I used one of my SplodgeAway masks with some tea dye distress ink to create the tulips in the background. The punch used for the band at the bottom is an E K Success punch (large scroll border). I used diamond sparkles on the butterfly to make it stand out a little.
Gina’s Designs has a giveaway once a fortnight on a Friday and last week was a set of Honey Bee inspired elements, please go and check it out on her blog.
Here is a tag I made using the printable
Free Printable sheet from Gina’s Designs
Flowers made with Cheery Lynn Die from Cullen Crafts
Frantage embossing enamel – Shabby Blue
Seam Binding sprayed with Glimmer Mist
I am submitting this to the DT call at ABC challenge here
