Over at ATCs and Cards with Attitude this week we have an Anything Goes Theme. The cogs frame comes from our sponsor Delicious Doodles this week and I added a few real ones that I had got a while back. I then used a new Papermania Capsule Collection DVD to print off the Urban digital stamps. I cut the butterfly one with the Spelbinders Sprightly Sprockets die that my kids got me for Mothers Day. The ATC is egg-shaped because it is for a swap I am taking part in over at Swap Bot that calls for this shape 🙂
Here is an artist trading card that I created for a Zentangle group that I belong to, I decided to add a bit of colour to this one using my Copic Ciao pens. I traced the hands from a Zentangle book that I have and then drew stings to make the stripes.
Keep an eye out for more greetings cards coming soon as I have an exciting announcement to make
Here is an ATC I created for the above series over at Swap Bot, the iris came from my Next Big Thing CD and I coloured it with Copics. I cut 2 nestie shapes and stuck the cut out Iris onto the first oval. The backing paper came from a digital collection designed by myself and friends.
Here is the 3rd ATC by Grant for his swap. The image is a free stamp from the Docrafts magazine this month called Boofle which Grant decided to colour with the new paints I had bought him. The sticker came from Hobbycraft – its one of those scratch off ones that reveals the rainbow colours underneath the black. He then finished the whole thing off with some Papermania stars in the corners.
Another swap over at Swap Bot, this time for an ATC featuring a book page somewhere on it. I just love this quote by Mark Twain and managed to find it on a tag. A while back someone sent me a couple of snippets from a French-English dictionary so that came in handy.
The theme for April ATC swap at Crafty Ideas by Kaz is cupcakes so I decided to go plain and simple with this one and use come chipboard shapes and paper that I got in a grab box a while back.
Both the items are from A Piece of Cake collection by Dovecraft, not really me but very useful for this sort of thing.
I really do love making Artist Trading Cards, they are so quick to make (once you have an idea what you are doing) This one was great fun, I used the Echo Park Paper Pack called Be Mine again and changed the colour of the musical paper. I roughed up the edges of the paper to give it a more textured look and took some distress ink to one of the pieces. The tag comes from a digital scrapbook collection that my good friend Brandy Murry created called Ephemera.
It seems that our oldest son has caught the ATC bug, I found a swap for him to take part in over at Swap Bot and he has made the first 2 of 3 ATCs. I think he did rather well really, all I did was cut out the bear with him and supervised the embossing on the butterfly (not a good idea to leave an 8-year-old to emboss something himself!). He chose the papers, colours and rub ons and where to put everything. Perhaps I have a future Tim Holtz on my hands, you never know!
There, I said it! It is not very often that anyone associates these 3 words with me but I had to make a birthday card for my niece and she loves pink. It just so happens that I bought the Creative Cardmaking Magazine this week and it had the perfect images and papers inside (with an added smile by me) from Pink Gem Designs
I made a pop-up for the inside of the card to add a little bit of interest to it
