Another swap over at Mini Album Scraps that I am taking part in this month is the Charm swap. The theme for this one is Autumn Splendor and you have to make 3 charms and present them in a pleasing way. I chose to present mine on tags that I decorated with some aluminium tape (the stuff used by builders to join the foil insulation) which I used my alcohol inks on to get the coppery look. My youngest lad was off school sick that day and he wanted a go at playing with these too so I gave him some tape and the blender tool and off he went to create a christmas card.
Charms use beads mostly from Cullen Crafts
Tea bag papers from the web (sorry I can’t remember where I got them from)
Here is another tag I have made for the September/October tag swap over at Mini Album Scraps. I am really enjoying “getting my hands dirty” so to speak making these tags and things. Look out for some charms coming soon 🙂
Brenda the Goth Fairy coloured with Copic ciao pens and the rose is glazed with Anita’s 3d glaze
Paper was printed from a digital scrapbook collection I created called A Little Romance
Lace came from Cullen Crafts.
Roses were made with Marianne design’s Creatables numer LR0162 English rose die and spritzed with Dazling Diamonds Glimmer mist
I have recently joined a site called Mini Album Scraps where they do some really great swaps of tags, charms, mini albums and a whole heap more, head on over to have a look.
I had a great time making this dress form tag for the swap this month, the theme was Shabby Chic. I made a phone charm “necklace” for each tag so that it could be used by the girls that receive them.
I used paper from a digital scrapbook collection by Gina called Sisters and Friends to cover the front and back and to make the rosette, the flowers come from My Craft Studio’s Paper Flower Expert CD and the charms, ribbon and sticky ribbon came from Cullen Crafts. I cut the label for the back using my Nesties.
