Card for a friend using a sketch and just cardstock

Oh and a ribbon lol. I needed a quick card for a friend and the sketch over on Papertake Weekly Challenge was just perfect, one I will use again thats for certain! Crafty Creations was looking for friends cards and La La Land Crafts blog challenge this week was to create a card using NO patterned paper. I can tell you that certainly was a challenge, but made a refreshing change none the less. Here is what I came up with:

Cardstock and ribbon from stash
Kanban card blank
Image from web
Embossing folders – Swiss Dots(Cuttlebug) and Butterflies(Crafts Too)

Owl Card for a sick little girl

Over on Dustins blog this week someone has asked if we could make cards for a little girl who is sick. you can read about it here. I took Dustins Challenge of black, white and red and made this card:

Cardstock and ribbon from stash
Divine swirls Embossing folder
PC generated greeting

Cards for Men meets One Stop Craft Challenge

Cards for men is a relatively new challenge blog which I can totally relate to. Living in a house full of men means I have plenty of male type papers etc. so I took the sketch from there this week and added the colours of Apple Green, Chocolate & Clotted cream (ummm I’m hungry now!) from One Stop Craft Challenge and here is what I came up with.

Dustin Pike image coloured with Copics
Cardstock from stash
Kanban adhesive pearls coloured with Copics
PC generated greeting

Paper Piecing project

The challenge at Sherrod Studio this week was for paper piecing, something I have never done. I bit the bullet and decided to have a go at it. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday, the stamps I won from Little Paper Shop some weeks back and the theme from Everybody Art Challenge which was a thankyou card. Here is what I came up with:

Just Rite Stamp set
My Minds Eye papers
Ribbon from Breezy Design
Kanban Card Blank
Crafts Too Embossing folder

CD Holder

Over at Project Tuesday this week the challenge is to make a CD case. The Sweet Stop had a great sketch to go with it so here is the result

Sugar Nellie Stamp
My Minds Eye Papers
DCWV Paper stack
Charm from Kut 4 U
Nellie Snellan punches
Kanban adhesive pearls
Flower Soft
